Jerry Bucheit, President of the Canebrake County Water District, Board of Supervisors, requested I take photos the new water pipe that was laying in a trench, ready to replace the present water pipe that is leaking regularly. I did as he requested. He wanted pictures of the new water pipe for the record. After taking photos of the new water pipe, I thought it might be helpful to continue up the line showing what the old pipe looked like. I continued up the pipe line, taking photos, until I filled up my chip. These are those photos. |

This is the lowest portion of the trench and new pipe. This is the view up the canyon. The light blue pipe is the existing pipe. The dark blue pipe is the replacement, 3 inch pipe. |

Close-up of one end of the new (gray) pipe. Each length of pipe was sanitized and carefully capped before being placed in the trench. |

End of all the pipeline that is laid at this time. These sections were stored in the Quonset hut. |

Looking up the trench. The trench has been dug but no pipe in here yet. Here, 4 20 foot lengths of pipe presently stored in at Ann Whitley's will be laid to complete the first section of new pipe. |

The pipe has been patched a bit here. This is where the new 3 inch pipe will tie in to the 2 inch pipe. From this point on, in increments of 3, 20 foot lengths of pipe, will replace the present 2 inch pipe. |

The next section of 3" pipe will be laid here. Brush must be cleared, rocks must be moved and the trench will be dug. This work will be done in the Fall when the weather has cooled. |

Rocks and boulders support the existing pipeline here as rocks and boulders made it too difficult to trench the original pipeline through here. |

| This steel casing makes finding and repairing leaks here very difficult. |
