Clean-up/Beautification Day

16 February, 2019

It was on the Calendar, 9:30 Saturday morning.. There was a sign-up sheet posted on the blackboard in McKinney Hall. About 5 people had signed up. By 9:00 at least a dozen folks were there to begin work. Canebrakers know that clean-up starts at 9am. By 9:30 another dozen, stragglers and the folks who believed the calendar, had arrived to pitch in.

There were three major jobs: get McKinney Hall ready for the Sweetheart Brunch the next day, clean up the area around the outside of the Community Center, and paint the mail pavilion..
